A sabbath poem reflection about a trip in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado.
Analog Mode
Wind-untamed, sunsets-painted in pinks and purples across the faces of peaks with names like Leviathan and Storm King.
Restoration comes in an analog mode,
slow, simple-hearted,
relishing the simplicity of a meal cooked with friends,
a warm fire, and a conversation thoroughly explored.
Our wild hearts called to from lost places,
go big on your dreams, explore more,
and discover how to marshal and direct your energy wisely.
Surrender your path in life as you hunt your longings.
Go and see, go and see for yourself what’s around the next corner,
over that saddle,
a top that summit
and who will you become from this process of exploration?
Simplicity in existence
in time and space
to celebrate,
to forgive,
to reset,
to accept .
Our humble prayer.
I am not in control.
I am not in a hurry.
I choose to walk in step with you in the rugged places and on the smooth paths.
Keep going friends,
Aaron
