01 // Show up consistently and do the work.
I’ve found a lot of people talk a good game about consistency, but in reality, they have a lot of false starts. Many people seem to struggle with consistently doing the work that needs to be done, whether it is in our jobs, on side projects, or in our relationships.
Why?
We are constantly bombarded and enticed by seemingly better options. Our choices are endless, but in the end, aimless activity isn’t helping us close the gap between the life we have and the life we really want. Intentionality multiplied by consistency over time has a compound effect that changes the trajectory of our Work Life Play.
Tomorrow morning you get a do-over. All the false starts, all of the mishaps, they get erased tonight. Tomorrow you get to start again, “I’m here and I’m ready to do this.”

02 // Work on what you love.
Life is short. You are really good at something. Find that something and do that. Drudgery is for prisoners doing time for crimes committed. You haven’t done anything wrong, right? Stop doing what you can barely stand doing and start pursuing what you love. Too many people never do what they love. Even worse, they don’t ever explore the frontier to find what it is they love.
Once you find what you love, you have to invest your time, effort, energy, money, and creativity into making it happen. It doesn’t mean you have to make it your career. It may be as simple as building a sea kayak in the garage. Find it. Do it. Love it.
You’re worth it.
